Award-Winning Artist Tara Stonestreet

Tara Stonestreet brought Taradoodles to Erie in 2011. She loves to paint and see the wonder and enjoyment of children who watch her work or see their transformed face. "It makes my heart happy," she says. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two children and two cats. An internationally recognized painter, Taradoodles has grown to be a local favorite in Erie over the past years, and can be found anywhere from a child's birthday party, weddings, and company picnics to an Erie Otters game or a downtown festival. Along with the Otters, clients include the Erie Zoo, EDP, Wellsville, WQLN, expERIEnce Children's Museum, Erie Insurance, Erie SeaWolves, and many more!

In the Pandemic of 2020 her business expanded from face painting to offering no contact "Windoodles" as a way to continue her love of celebrating life.  They are window paintings that bring joy to families and offer businesses a bright and cheerful way to draw attention to their storefront. The service continued for the popularity and joy it brought to residents through this unique offering.

Her clients feel good about hiring her not only because of her talent but because of her philanthropic spirit. Tara spends her profits on purchasing toys for local programs of needy families since 2012. The donation grew every year and escalated quickly. In 2019, she donated an amazing 12,379 toys to Erie's Toys For Tots. In 2020, despite the shutdown, she donated 13,591 toys!!  She hopes to be able to continue to bring as many smiles as she can to her local area. The Taradoodles Facebook Page is often filled with resources for families that include useful alerts, sales, local events and more so find and follow along.

Taradoodles also provides a list of entertainers that she supports even if you choose not to use her services. She wants yours events and celebrations to be amazing. Contact her today.

Mom and advocate

Tara and her husband have two kids, one with special needs and two cats- Lon n' Mower.

In 2017, Tara's son swallowed a lithium battery from a toy and was hospitalized for weeks because of internal damage. She now speaks about the dangers of lithium batteries whenever she can. Here's a story about her son's ordeal:

'Be. The.  Good.'

Tara's philosophy is 'be the good.' It's a philosophy she certainly lives: Stonestreet was recognized by Toys For Tots in 2018 for her outstanding support of the program.
Each donation year grew and grew until she founded a NonProfit: Taradoodles ToyBox of Erie in 2024. Now she serves thousands of Erie Families year round giving new toys to deserving children for various holidays while still supporting ToysForTots.
